Better corrosion resistance
than Type 304. Low carbon chromium-nickel stainless with good
weldability and temperature resistance. Max. temp. to maintain
corrosion resistance is 1600 degrees F.
This austenitic stainless
steel has an increased molybdenum content to increase its resistance
to corrosion when compared to other 300 series alloys.
316 is recommended for any
application exposed to saltwater (including immersion).
Silicon Bronze Carriage Screws- Nonmagnetic,
corrosion resistance from salt water. B85 Rockwell hardness. 70K PSI
Tensile strength.
